Their surrender, together with their firearms, IEDs and other war materials is a serious blow to the ranks of communist terrorism in the Province, " said Major General Galileo Gerard Kintanar Jr, Commander of Western Command.

"This is also a clear indication of their unwillingness to continue with the armed struggle that according to them is tainted by corruption among their leaders, fatigue and disappointment," Major General Kintanar Jr added.

"We continue to urge the other communist terrorists to put their arms down and surrender. The Local Social Integration Program (LSIP) of the Provincial Government of Palawan and the Comprehensive Local Social Integration Program (CLIP) of the Department of Interior and Local Government are waiting for them to start their lives anew," the Commander of WESCOM said.
