'Dance Fever' for soldiers, nurses at City Baywalk Park

Camp Gen. Artemio Ricarte, Puerto Princesa City -- Military nurses join the "Hataw sa Baybay" fitness event by the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) on October 21 at the City Baywalk Park.

Hataw sa Baybay is a fun dance that fuses fitness and entertainment, which is part of the pre-convention activity of the PNA. The national organization of nurses will hold its national annual convention in Puerto Princesa City from October 22 to 24, that is expected to bring in over 1,500 nurses from all over the country.

 At the break of dawn on Monday, Oct. 21, these nurses, joined by military nurses from the Camp Gen. Artemio Ricarte Station Hospital, Naval Forces West, 570th Composite Tactical Wing and Headquarters Service Group Wescom, will participate in the fitness party that will blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography for a total body workout that feels like a celebration.

Hataw sa Baybay aims to promote a healthy lifestyle practices for prevention and control of non-communicable diseases such as cardio-vascular and chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes posing threat to human health and development. The Western Command through the invitation of the PNA in line with the IPSP Bayanihan will be sending 50 military nurses to the affair.
